Show large map

An introduction to growing cut flowers for your home including what to grow, how to keep them blooming and tips on cutting and arranging your home-grown flowers. A relaxed evening including a short visit to a local flower farm and flowers to take home.

Enjoy an evening learning how to grow flowers for your home, for a special event or to give as gifts.  By growing your own you can reduce the environmental impact of imported flowers and boost the biodiversity of your garden.  Find out how to include a cutting patch in your garden, which varieties are best to grow, and how to keep them blooming. Take a short walk to visit the Fellside Flower Company flower farm before returning to the Mason's Arms for tips on cutting and arranging your home-grown flowers with some hands-on posy-making for you to take home.

Thank you to these organisations, who are supporting this year's Cumbria Green Build Festival in various ways!
